Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik performed the groundbreaking ceremony of AmpIn Solar’s PV cells and modules manufacturing facility in Odisha this week. AmpIn Solar is a joint venture between AmpIn Energy Transition and Jupiter International to set up a greenfield manufacturing facility of 1.3 GW of solar cells and modules annually in Bhubaneswar, under the government’s production-linked incentives (PLI) scheme. The modules produced through the alliance will be consumed locally by AmpIn and supplied to third-party developers.
The chief minister of Odisha also inaugurated Aditya Birla Renewables’ 18.75 MW solar power plant set up with an investment of INR 89.44 crore in the state.
He also launched the construction of Epsilon Carbon Ashoka’s 8,75,000 mtpa integrated carbon complex at Jharsuguda and Hindalco Industries’ specialized battery foil manufacturing unit in Sambalpur.
