SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL) has received Letter of Awards for cumulative 1,352 MW of solar power projects under the Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana in Maharashtra. The projects are to be set up at various locations in the Nashik, Solapur, Ahmednagar, and Pune districts. SGEL won these projects through competitive bidding in a tender floated by MSEB Agro Power Ltd (MSAPL), Maharashtra, for a total capacity of 7 GW.
The Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana scheme was launched for implementation of the feeder-level solarisation under component C of PM-KUSUM scheme.
SGEL will develop these 1,352 MW solar power projects with an estimated investment of INR 7,436 crore ($898.45 million). The projects are eligible for a central financial assistance of up to 30% of the project cost.
