Tata Power, in association with Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA), has made Ayodhya EV ready by establishing EV charging points in and around the city. This strategic partnership aims to encourage pilgrims and tourists visiting the holy city to adopt e-mobility and sustainable transport during their travels.
The initiative strategically links Ayodhya with nearby major cities through the establishment of electric vehicle charging points. These points are situated along crucial routes such as Ayodhya to Lucknow via NH27, Ayodhya to Raebarelli via NH330, Ayodhya to Prayagraj via NH330, and Ayodhya to Gorakhpur via NH27.
Tata Power has a significant market share in the EV charging domain across the state of Uttar Pradesh with its far-reaching EZ Charge network that includes 4,137 home chargers, 230 public charging points, and 39 captive chargers.
Gaurav Dayal, commissioner of Ayodhya, remarked, “The collaboration with Tata Power epitomizes our shared vision for a cleaner, greener Ayodhya. These charging points not only enhance our city’s infrastructure but also herald a new era of eco-consciousness and progress.”
Tata Power’s nationwide EV charging network spans over 490 cities and towns, offering a variety of charging solutions tailored to meet the needs of home users, public and semi-public, and bus fleets. It has supplied/deployed more than 80,000 home chargers, 5,300+ public, semi-public, and fleet charging points, and 850+ bus charging stations.
