Waaree Group has promoted Ashok Nair to senior vice president and head of sales & business development for the Americas. In this role, Nair will lead sales and business development for Waaree Energies in the Americas region, manage a multi-GW project portfolio in the US with more than 5 GW delivered, and work towards consolidating company position as the largest Indian PV exporter and a top 5 US PV supplier.
Waaree Energies recently secured a contract to supply 220 MW of solar modules for Sprng Energy’s upcoming project in Gujarat.
Waaree Energies is India’s largest manufacturer of solar PV modules with an aggregate installed capacity of 12 GW, as of June 30, 2023. It is going to manufacture solar PV modules in the US through its US arm. The company plans for 5 GW solar cell, module facility in the US.
