String inverter for commercial solar installations

Share

SMA’s Sunny Tripower CORE2 inverter is designed for medium to large-scale commercial PV systems up to megawatt scale. With a capacity of 110 kW, 24 strings and 12 MPP trackers, it provides high solar coverage in ground-mounted PV systems as well as rooftop installations. The inverter can allow up to 150% oversizing of the PV array with a flexible string design.

The integrated SMA ShadeFix software solution optimizes the performance of PV systems at string level, even with partially shaded modules. It is said to outperform most conventional hardware solutions for shade management in PV systems. The automated inverter monitoring also helps maximize yields by detecting failures as early as possible.

The inverter comes with an integrated arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) function and DC overvoltage protection.

With no need for a DC combiner, a fuseless design, and multiple handling grips, the inverter installation is simple and cost-effective.

Abhijeet More, sales head India – commercial & home business, SMA India, said, “The Sunny Tripower CORE2 offers exceptional flexibility and performance for medium to large-scale commercial PV systems with its state-of-the-art design. It utilizes integrated PV performance optimization to provide top-notch service and efficiency. With 12 MPP trackers and a 24-string system, the CORE2 excels in adaptability, making it a perfect match for varied commercial needs. It helps elevate safety and efficiency, ensuring that users are equipped with nothing but the best.”
