Vikram Solar announced this week that it has won a 250 MW solar module supply order from Gujarat Industries Power Co. Ltd (GIPCL). The company has received the Letter of Intent (LoI) for the module supply.
The modules will be deployed at the RE Park in Khavda village of the Great Rann of Kutch in Gujarat.
Under the agreement, Vikram Solar will manufacture, test and deliver high-efficiency, bifacial solar PV modules employing cutting-edge technology with the range of minimum module capacity of 540 Wp and maximum module capacity of 570Wp.
The modules to be supplied under this agreement fall within the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).
Headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, Vikram Solar has a cumulative PV module production capacity of 3.5 GW. It is a ‘Top Performer’ in PVEL’s PV module reliability scorecard and has been included in the Tier 1 solar PV modules manufacturer list of BloombergNEF. The company also has an EPC portfolio of 1.42 GW (commissioned and under execution).
