Spanish developer Solarpack has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SJVN for its Ganeko hybrid wind-solar project located in the Indian state of Gujarat.
The project, consisting of 383 MW of solar and 99 MW of wind capacity, is set for commissioning in 2026. The combined installed capacity of 482 MW will generate an amount of electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of more than 250,000 Indian households.
Through the Ganeko hybrid project, the developer has reached a portfolio of 1 GW in India within the first half of 2024, which is in line with its strategic plan to develop 5 GW of multi-technology products in the country.
Solarpack entered the Indian market in 2015, consolidating its presence through eight solar photovoltaic plants across the country. With the commissioning of the Gorbea and Anboto projects in 2025, and now Ganeko, Solarpack has 1.3 GW of capacity with awarded PPAs in India.
