Gautam Solar announced this week the filing of a patent design registration for its packaging pallet designed for safe storage and transportation of solar panels. The company said the new pallet design is an ideal fit for transporting Gautam Solar’s 144 cell mono PERC and TOPCon solar panels.

The pallet features robust wooden base separator, which ensures that each panel is securely held in place, preventing any potential damage during transit. This design is tailored specifically for canter trucks, optimizing space utilization and facilitating easy loading and unloading processes.

Gautam Mohanka, CEO of Gautam Solar, said, “The problem of solar panel breakage and formation of micro-cracks during transportation is quite serious. This problem, which is exacerbated by potholes and bumps on roads, not only causes problems for manufacturers who have to supply replacement panels but also leads to project delays for the developer. To counter this, our team has worked diligently to develop a solution that not only meets the industry’s storage and transportation needs but also enhances the overall efficiency and safety of solar panel logistics.”

The pallet’s compact and sturdy construction ensures that the panels remain protected from physical damage and resist shocks, reducing the risk of replacements.

With its corporate office in New Delhi, India, Gautam Solar is in process of expanding its solar module capacity to 2.5 GWp this calendar year and to 5 GWp in FY2025-26.
