Gensol Engineering Ltd, a solar power engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services and electric mobility solutions provider, has emerged as winning bidder for 116 MW (150 MWp) of solar projects in Gujarat with total EPC revenue of around INR 600 crore ($71.7 million).
The projects will be distributed across 27 diverse locations, all under the purview of Paschim Gujarat Vij Co. Ltd. (PGVCL), the state electricity distribution company.
“The projects aim for feeder-level solarisation and are anticipated to be operational within 12 months following the issuance of the Letter of Award (LoA),” stated Gensol.
Feeder-level solarization is done under Component-C of PM-KUSUM Scheme. Under the scheme, agriculture feeders already segregated or primarily serve agriculture loads may be solarized with installation of grid-connected solar power plants to cater the annual power requirement of feeders.
