Amazon partners Gentari to deploy electric vehicles in India

Amazon India has partnered with Gentari Green Mobility India (Gentari) to support its last-mile electric fleet programme locally. The partnership provides Amazon delivery service partners (DSPs) access to more three-wheeler EVs for Amazon deliveries.

Over the past decade, Amazon has collaborated with manufacturers, DSPs, charging point operators, and financing companies to scale EV adoption in its operations across more than 400 cities in India. With more than 7,200 EVs deployed in 2023, Amazon is well on its way to achieving its goal of deploying 10,000 EVs in its India delivery fleet by 2025.

As part of the partnership, Gentari will procure and mobilise EVs across key cities in India over the next three years. These EVs will be strategically deployed, with Gentari also offering comprehensive fleet management services to the DSPs to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of the EV fleet.

Recently launched in India, Gentari Go – an integrated customer experience platform – will provide Amazon fleet operators access to an extensive network of public chargers, business credits and optimised fleet management through telematics support.
