Gujarat State Electricity Corp. Ltd (GSECL), a state-owned power producer in Gujarat, has secured a power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd for a 35 MW solar PV with 57 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project.
The project’s solar and battery storage components are co-located at GSECL’s Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station site in Kutch.
The project features bifacial solar modules with real-time solar trackers to optimize the capacity utilization factor. The BESS provides four hours of support during non-solar hours.
