SunSource Energy has announced the commissioning of a 21 MWp solar power plant in Ramanathapuram district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
SunSource Energy said it has already tied up with leading commercial & industrial businesses for the entire 21 MWp capacity. The offtakers include companies from the oil and gas, automotive, metals and mining, and FMCG sectors.
The project is expected to generate around 760 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean energy and offset up to 700 million kilograms of CO2 emissions during its technical lifetime, which is the equivalent of planting around 7,00,000 trees.
SunSource Energy, a subsidiary of the 127-year-old Dutch multinational SHV Energy, provides solar-based energy solutions to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. Headquartered in Delhi NCR, the company manages the entire lifecycle of solar power projects and has a portfolio of 500 MWp solar assets deployed, contracted, and under-development across major states in India.
