Odisha-based Surya International Enterprise will invest INR 80 crore in manufacturing solar modules and related products including energy storage batteries, in Odisha. The project, located in Khurdha, is expected to create 769 jobs.
Surya International Enterprise is an EPCM (engineering, procurement, and construction management) company operating in the clean water and renewable energy sector.
Hindalco Industries is investing INR 294 crore in a 60 MW captive ground-mounted solar power plant in Odisha, creating 90 jobs.
In the bio-fuel sector, Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd is investing INR 200 crore in a compressed biogas and fermented organic manure plant. Reliance Bio Energy is setting up two plants—one in Sonepur and another in Sambalpur—each with an investment of INR 121.21 crore.
These projects were recently approved by the Odisha government.
