Grew Energy announced this week it will supply over 180 MW of solar PV modules to Aditya Green Energy for solar projects to be developed under the Government of India’s PM KUSUM C Scheme that aims at promoting solar energy adoption in rural areas. The project will benefit the regions of Latur, Osmanabad, and Beed in Maharashtra.
Grew Energy will complete the delivery of solar modules by the end of January 2025.
Adinath Sangwe, managing director of Aditya Green Energy, said, “Our collaboration with Grew Energy is a significant step toward achieving our company’s target of 100% solarisation of distribution substations in Latur, Beed and Osmanabad districts in the next one-and-half year, thereby ensuring quality daytime power to all the farmers.”
Grew will supply its mono PERC p-type modules to Aditya Green Energy.
Founded in 2022, Grew is a renewable energy venture of Chiripal Group, one of the largest vertically integrated enterprises in India. The core business divisions of the Chiripal Group include textiles, education, petrochemicals, infrastructure, packaging, poly films apart from renewable energy.
Grew has set up a fully functioning 1.2 GW solar module factory in Jaipur, Rajasthan, with another 1.6 GW factory to be fully operational by 2025 in the same location. Additionally, it is building a fully backward integrated solar module manufacturing unit in Jammu & Kashmir with a commitment to invest INR 4,500 crore ($538.85 million). Upon completion, the facility will have the capacity to produce 3.2 GW of high-efficiency modules and 2.8 GW of ingots, wafers and cells per year.
Aditya Green Energy, based in Latur, Maharashtra, is a renewable energy company operating in all aspects of solar in Maharashtra since 2011. It has executed more than 3,000 rooftop projects and 30 distributed solar projects under MSKVY 1 and PM Kusum C Phase 1. It has 1 GW of projects in pipeline.
