Saatvik to start solar cell production by December next year

At REI India 2024, Saatvik has unveiled its G12R TOPCon module with 625 Wp output. The company said it will expand its solar module production capacity to 7.8 GW by Dec. 2025, from 3.8 GW at present. It will also commission a 3 GW PV cell line by Dec. 2025.

Saatvik is also building 2 GW of encapsulant capacity, which will start production in the next four months (by Jan 2025). It is also setting up ancillary product units (aluminium frames, junction boxes and ribbons).

RenewSys has placed 2.5 GW order for a solar cell line. Out of the planned cell manufacturing capacity, 500 MW production will start by April and the remaining 2 GW by December next year.

The company is also expanding its solar module manufacturing capacity to 4 GW and the encapsulant capacity to 10 GW by April. Currently, it has 2 GW of module, 8 GW of encapsulant and 4 GW of backsheet manufacturing capacity.
