Torrent Power will set up an 8.5 MWp solar power project for supply of renewable power to the production units of The Lakshmi Mills Co. Ltd (TLMCL) under open access. It will set up the project through Torrent Urja 17, a special purpose vehicle.
A share subscription and shareholders’ agreement was recently signed amongst Torrent Power, The Lakshmi Mills, and Torrent Urja 17. Under the agreement, The Lakshmi Mills shall at all times during the subsistence of the power supply and offtake agreement hold not less than 26% of the aggregate equity shares of TU17.
RMC Switchgears Ltd has secured an EPC and O&M contract worth INR 201 crore for the development of a solar power project aimed at solarizing agricultural feeders in Maharashtra. It has been awarded the contract as the lead member of a consortium. The contract was awarded through a competitive bidding process and an e-reverse auction.
RMC Switchgears is actively pursuing additional tenders exceeding 500 MWp and engaging with both public and private sector entities to achieve its ambitious goal of securing 1 GWp in renewable energy. By collaborating with installation and commissioning experts across multiple states and leveraging its in-house team of skilled designers and supervisors, RMC is positioning itself at the forefront of the green energy revolution
