AMPIN Energy Transition has announced financial closure for its 200 MWp solar-wind hybrid project situated in the state of Rajasthan. It secured a green loan of INR 742 crore ($89 million) from Standard Chartered Bank.
The total project cost is INR 944 crore ($113 million). Upon completion, the solar-wind hybrid plant is expected to generate about 435 million units of renewable power annually, providing power to around 74,486 households.
The plant will supply power to Solar Energy Corp. of India under a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 25 years from the start of operations.
AMPIN Energy Transition is a renewable energy transition company in India with a total portfolio of 4 GWp spread across 21 states in the country. AMPIN currently operates a 410 MWp solar portfolio in Rajasthan, supplying power to both utility customers and C&I customers. With the addition of the latest 200 MWp project, AMPIN Energy Transition’s cumulative solar and wind energy portfolio in Rajasthan will scale to 1 GWp.
