JSW Energy has reported a consolidated net profit of INR 853 crore for the quarter ended September 2024 (Q2 FY 2025), compared to INR 850 crore recorded in the corresponding period last year.
The total revenue in Q2 FY 2025 stood at INR 3,459 crore, 2% up YoY.
Net generation was up by 14% YoY, at 9.8 billion units, driven by wind capacity additions and higher generation at thermal and hydro plants. RE generation was 14% up due to 37% YoY increase in wind generation and 5% YoY increase in hydro generation.
In Q2 FY 2025, JSW Energy signed energy storage facility agreement for 12 GWh of pumped hydro storage with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. The project is set for commissioning in 48 months.
JSW Energy also expects to commission its 3,800 tpa green hydrogen plant (for green steel production at JSW Steel) by March 2025. The 1 GWh battery energy storage project awarded by SECI is set for commissioning by June 2025.
