Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL), registered as a national vendor under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana residential rooftop PV scheme, has launched a tender for the procurement of around 1 GWp of crystalline solar PV modules, each with a rated capacity of 540 Wp and above.

The PV modules and cells should be made in India and comply with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s domestic content requirement.

The modules will be supplied across India, serving to development of grid-connected rooftop solar projects between 1 kW and 10 kW capacity under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana. The procurement may also serve to solar projects higher than 10kW capacity, if required.

The modules are to be supplied under a rate contract for six months. Prices shall remain fixed during the entire period of the rate contract.

The prospective contractor’s scope of work includes design, manufacture, testing, and supply of PV modules.

The PV modules used must qualify to the latest edition of IEC standards or equivalent BIS standards. The rated power of solar PV module should have maximum positive tolerance up to +3%. The module should demonstrate a minimum efficiency of 19.5% at standard test condition (STC).
