Greenzo Energy, a full-value chain green hydrogen energy solutions provider, announced today it has secured the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 120 MW ground-mounted solar project in Nepal. With this project valued at INR 500 crore, Greenzo Energy’s order book now stands at INR 1,900 crore.
The project is set for completion by 2025 in a phased manner. It will be structured across 12 clusters, each with a 10 MW solar installation.
“The infrastructure will be fully ground-mounted, with the development of an advanced high-tension transmission line to connect directly to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) grid. The surplus power generated by these installations will be evacuated back to the national grid, ensuring an optimized, sustainable energy flow that boosts grid stability and supports broader energy access,” stated Greenzo.
Sandeep Agarwal, managing director of Greenzo Energy India, stated, “With the Letter of Credit secured and work underway on site, we’re fully committed to delivering each phase of the project with precision and transparency.”
Greenzo has been working closely with Nepalese authorities and the project developer for over two years to facilitate this project. The project is expected to generate more than 500 job opportunities in the region. It will be led by Kushal Agarwal, executive director, Greenzo Energy, and the company will manage the end-to-end execution, from engineering and procurement to on-the-ground installations.
Kushal Agarwal, executive director of Greenzo Energy, added, “Our long-standing collaboration with Nepalese stakeholders will enable us to deliver robust, community-centered benefits through this project.”
Greenzo Energy, incorporated in 2021, develops, owns, and operates renewables and green hydrogen infrastructure, to deliver zero-emission energy services to customers. It has indigenously developed modular alkaline electrolyzers. With a diverse portfolio including solar, wind, ammonia, and hydrogen projects, Greenzo has completed over 2 GW of solar EPC and consultancy projects across India and other countries.
