Alpex Solar Ltd, an integrated solar energy solutions provider, announced today it has secured an order worth INR 34.51 crore for the supply of 1,141 solar pumps to the Haryana Renewable Energy Department (HAREDA) under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme. This win follows the company’s recent success in securing two major orders worth INR 525.15 crore from public sector undertakings for the supply of solar panels, bringing the total order value to INR 559.66 crore in two months.

Alpex expects to complete the HAREDA order within 120 days from the issuance of the work order.

The PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) scheme is aimed at boosting energy security for Indian farmers while advancing the country’s clean energy transition.

“Solar pumps present a sustainable and cost-effective solution for India’s irrigation needs. Farmers traditionally depend on diesel pumps or grid electricity for water, both of which have their limitations. Solar pumps, powered by renewable energy, provide a reliable, eco-friendly alternative, especially in regions with limited access to electricity. These pumps also reduce operational costs by eliminating fuel expenses and contribute to reducing carbon emissions, aligning with India’s broader environmental objectives,” said Ashwani Sehgal, managing director of Alpex Solar. “By delivering 1,141 solar pumps, we are directly supporting farmers in Haryana with dependable energy solutions while also contributing to India’s renewable energy goals.”

Alpex Solar manufactures PV modules using monocrystalline and polycrystalline cell technologies. The company offers comprehensive solar solutions, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for both AC/DC surface and submersible solar pumps.
