Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis recently inaugurated a 2 MW AC solar project in Narangwadi, Umarga, Maharashtra, installed under the PM Kusum-C initiative. The PV plant, installed by Aditya Green Energy in collaboration with Aviraj Green Energy, is estimated to generate around 47.34 lakh kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity per annum.

The electricity produced by this solar power plant will be supplied to around 670 farmers in the surrounding villages, addressing their energy needs and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The project was completed in partnership with Grew Energy, which provided 4,704 units of 550 Wp (watt peak) solar modules for the installation.

“The completed solar project will have a positive environmental impact equivalent to planting 1 lakh trees and is anticipated to mitigate over 63,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. The local farmers have expressed their satisfaction with the solar project, as it provides a sustainable and reliable source of power, and they have conveyed their gratitude to all stakeholders involved in making this project a reality,” stated Grew Energy.
