Waaree Energies announced today it has secured a Letter of Award to supply 180 MWp of solar modules. The company said it has won the order from a renowned customer engaged in the business of owning, developing and operating renewable power projects in India.
The supply of modules is scheduled to commence in FY 2025-26.
Headquartered in Mumbai, Waaree Energies operates manufacturing facilities with an installed capacity of 13.3 GW for solar PV modules (including 1.3 GW of Indosolar). In addition to 5.4 GW PV cell capacity in Gujarat, the company is building a 6 GW wafer-to-module manufacturing hub in Odisha.
Waaree Energies is expanding its solar PV module manufacturing capabilities outside India with the establishment of up to 1.6 GW facility in Houston, Texas, in USA, which is planned for further expansion to 3 GW of solar module manufacturing by fiscal 2026 and 5 GW of solar module manufacturing by fiscal 2027.
