Indus Towers, India’s largest mobile tower installation company, has partnered with Amplus to set up a 50 MW solar plant for self-consumption. The solar plant will be set up by Amplus Tungabhadra, a special purpose vehicle set up by Amplus for the purpose of owning and operating the captive power plant.
Indus Towers has signed an agreement to acquire a 26% stake in Amplus Tungabhadra for about Rs 27 crore. It will consume 50 MW of renewable energy from the proposed solar PV power plant in compliance with regulatory requirements for captive power plants, said the company in a BSE filing.
