Torrent Power, a private sector integrated power utility, has reported revenue from operations of INR 6,499 crore, 2% up year-on-year. Profit after tax (net profit) surged 30% YoY to INR 489 crore.
The company has an installed power generation capacity of 4.7 GW across gas (57%), coal (8%), solar (16%) and wind (19%). It estimates its operational capacity to grow from 4.7 GW to 7.7 GW backed by robust renewable capacity addition. Renewable capacity in pipeline stands at 2,965 MWp (52% solar and wind 48%). Currently, it has 741 MWp of operational solar capacity with another 1,546 MWp under development. It has been awarded 18 ktpa capacity under PLI Scheme for Green Hydrogen production.
