WattPower announced that it has achieved the feat of producing and supplying nearly 15 GW of solar string inverters in just 17 months in India.
The company has a manufacturing facility in Chennai. With an annual production capacity of 9.9 GW, it produces high-efficiency solar string inverters, including its flagship 330KTL model.
“The plant’s semi-automated assembly line and stringent quality checks ensure each product meets the highest performance and durability standards,” stated WattPower. “The company’s innovative products, including its high-efficiency string inverters and smart array controllers, have been instrumental in achieving this milestone.”
Backed by its German holding company, WattPower caters to utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar energy sectors with plans to expand into power storage.
WattPower inverters feature minimal moving parts, ensuring a lifespan of up to 25 years. The company’s patented technology enhances efficiency and safety by eliminating DC-side failures, which account for 74% of safety hazards in photovoltaic (PV) plants.
