Apollo Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), part of Apollo International Group, announced this week the launch of AGEL Renewable Energy Ltd, a new subsidiary focused on utility-scale solar and advanced energy storage solutions, including hydrogen-based systems.
With a planned INR 500 crore investment, AGEL Renewable Energy Ltd will develop a 1 GW renewable energy portfolio over the next few years, actively participating in government tenders and forming power purchase agreements with utilities and commercial consumers.
“By integrating advanced storage technologies and expanding our renewable energy footprint, we aim to contribute meaningfully to India’s clean energy goals while ensuring energy reliability and affordability,” said Raaja Kanwar, Managing Director, Apollo Green Energy.
