Larsen & Toubro’s step-down arm L&T Energy Green Tech Ltd (LTEGL) and John Cockerill will explore opportunities for collaboration in concentrated solar power and thermal energy storage. The two companies recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the collaboration.
Under the MoU, L&T Energy Green Tech Ltd (LTEGL) and John Cockerill will identify and develop collaboration opportunities in manufacturing, component supply, and engineering solutions critical to the implementation and deployment of concentrated solar power and thermal energy storage projects.
The partnership combines L&T’s end-to-end expertise in manufacturing, EPC and services with John Cockerill’s expertise in concentrated solar power and thermal energy storage technologies, allowing L&T to integrate advanced energy storage solution in round-the-clock (RTC) green power projects for Indian businesses.

L&T Energy Green Tech is engaged in development, manufacturing, and EPC of sustainable energy solutions, with focus on green hydrogen, its derivatives, and electrolyser manufacturing. The company recently commissioned its first electrolyser from the Hazira facility at Surat in India.
John Cockerill is a large-scale technology solutions provider in the domains of energy, defence, steelmaking, etc. The Group adapts its technologies such as heat recovery steam generators, receivers for concentrated solar power plants, integrated units for the production, storage and management of green electricity, industrial boilers, Hamon cooling systems to the specific needs of its clients in the industrial and energy domains.
