Uttar Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd (UPPCL) has allocated 2 GW of solar capacity to four bidders at tariffs of INR 2.56-2.57/kWh.
NTPC Renewable Energy secured the largest slice of 1 GW by quoting a price of INR 2.56/kWh. ReNew won its bid capacity of 300 MW at this price. Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve, an arm of Adani Green Energy Ltd, was allocated 400 MW and Hindustan Power’s Fastnote Biofuels 300 MW at- INR 2.57/kWh each.
The winning developers can set up projects anywhere in India, as long as these are connected to the interstate transmission system.
