Jindal (India) launches Al-Zn coated steel coils for solar module mounting structures

Jindal (India) Ltd, part of B.C. Jindal Group and a downstream steel products manufacturer in India, has announced its entry into the renewable energy industry with the launch of its latest Jindalume line of aluminium-zinc (Al-Zn) coated coils designed for solar module mounting structures.

The combination of aluminum-zinc imparts imparts superior corrosion resistance, structural strength, and extended longevity, making Al-Zn coated coils an ideal choice for harsh outdoor environments and especially suited for solar module structures.

A spokesperson from Jindal (India) said they see immense potential in the solar business. The company’s Jindalume product is engineered to deliver exceptional durability and reliability, ensuring that solar infrastructure remains strong for decades.

Jindal (India) has already started supplying its flagship product Jindalume to the solar industry.

Jindal (India) has two production facilities near Kolkata serving markets across India. Recently, it announced strategic capacity expansion of 0.6 million MT, marking a 60% increase from current capacity of 1 million MT per annum with a capex of INR 1500 crore. This investment will drive cutting edge R&D and expand Jindal India’s product range further, strengthening the company’s footprint in the renewable energy sector.
