NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) and Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd (MAHAPREIT) have formed NTPC-MAHAPREIT Green Energy Ltd as a joint venture to develop renewable energy parks in India.
“NTPC-MAHAPREIT Green Energy Ltd will be engaged in the business of developing, operating and maintaining renewable energy parks including Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks/RE projects comprising solar/wind/hybrid with or without storage up to 10 GW capacities in Maharashtra and any other state in India,” stated NGEL, which holds 74% shareholding in NTPC-MAHAPREIT Green Energy with the rest 26% owned by MAHAPREIT .
