Azure Power wins 200 MW in Gujarat

The New Delhi-based solar energy firm has won a 200 MW solar PV project to be developed outside a solar park in Gujarat, in an auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). The project will be commissioned by the year 2019.

Coal India targets 20 GW solar projects in next 10 years

Coal India Ltd, the world’s largest coal producer company, has set the target of 20 GW solar PV installations in the next 10 years. To achieve the ambitious goal, the fossil fuel run firm will require an investment of approximately INR 900 billion ($13.8 billion).

Bhadla 750 MW solar project winners revealed

Solar tariffs in Gujarat rise to INR 2.98/kWh

In a recent auction of 500 MW solar PV in the state of Gujarat, solar tariffs have increased to INR 2.98 ($0.046)/kWh, as quoted by state-owned Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSEC) Ltd. The reason for the increased tariff rate is cited as pertaining to the uncertainties created by upcoming duties.
