Karnataka: KREDL tenders 1.2 GW of solar PV
Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd (KREDL) has announced a 1.2 GW tender for a grid-connected ground-mounted solar PV project to be installed in the Pavagada Solar Park.
India’s solar status 2017 w/ charts, Bridge to India
India’s solar sector witnessed a huge growth in 2017. The country is close to 20 GW cumulative solar installation at the end of January 2018. Bridge to India has released several charts comparing renewable installations, tariff rates, and upcoming projects. The data shows India installed 8.5 GW utility-scale and 1.4 GW rooftop solar in 2017.
NTPC sets 32 GW renewables target by 2032

The Solar Energy Corporation of India has postponed the 2 GW PV project tender until further notice. The company has also extended the deadline for expression of interest for setting up the solar manufacturing plant in India until January 29.
IFC to invest $50 million in Mahindra Renewables 250 MW PV plant
Mahindra Renewables has been awarded a 250 MW solar PV project in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. It will receive financing to the tune of around US$50 million from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
