Turnaround as Andhra Pradesh agrees to buy power from Kadapa solar plant

Despite the 250 MW solar project securing a record low bid of INR 3.15 ($ 0.05)/kWh in April, Andhra Pradesh refused to buy the generated power, after tariffs fell further in subsequent auctions. This decision has now been rescinded, according to The Economic Times, with the affected parties having reached a compromise.

India solar installs hit 2.2GW in Q3

Record growth continues as India installed 2,247 MW of solar projects in Q3 2017, up 15% from Q2 2017. The total installation at the end of 2017 is expected to range from 9.5 GW to 10 GW. Azure Power announces results for fiscal second quarter 2018

As of September 30, 2017, Azure power has 1,381 MW operating & committed, an increase of 35% over September end 2016. Tata Power commissions 25 MW solar plant in Gujarat

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. has installed 25 MW part of Gujarat solar park. The PPA is signed with SECI at the rate of INR 4.43 ($0.068)/kWh. The company was also awarded for early commissioning of 100 MW solar plant in Karnataka.

EREN RE and EDF commissions 87 MW solar capacity in India

EDEN, a joint venture between EREN Renewable Energy and EDF Energies Nouvelles, has installed three solar power plants in India amounting to 87 MW. The JV now operates 200 MW capacity in India.
