Gyanesh Chaudhary, MD and CEO, Vikram Solar, one of India’s leading module manufacturer and a prominent rooftop solar & EPC solutions provider, was recently appointed as the Chairman of the Renewable Energy and Energy Storage Division of IEEMA (Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association).
IEEMA is an industry association of 800 plus manufacturers of electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment in India. The Association member companies have contributed to more than 90% of power equipment installed in India. As a representative of the electrical industry, IEEMA maintains the dialogue with the government of India, its departments, electric utilities, users, standardization bodies, educational institutions, research, development and testing agencies.
Gyanesh Chaudhary shared on the occasion, “I look forward to be part of the team and to add value to the Renewable Energy & Energy Storage Division. Both RE and Storage are undergoing a sea change on the technological and policy front. There are immense opportunities as well as challenges that need to be taken up and addressed on behalf of the industry, eventually for the benfit of the end customer.”
In his new role, Chaudhary will lead divisional work and activities benefiting the overall fraternity of the RE, storage and allied industry.
