National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) and Rajasthan Solar Association (RSA) jointly organized Rajasthan solar industry interaction in Jaipur on 30th September with Union Minister of State- New and Renewable Energy, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Bhagwanth Khuba. Rajasthan Energy Minister Dr. B D Kalla also addressed the stakeholders in the session along with Ramcharan Bohra, Member of Parliament, Jaipur.
Bhagwanth Khuba, in his keynote address, expressed his joy on the progress the Rajasthan made, with an installation of 12,214MW of RE and said that he is very hopeful that Rajasthan will make further progress generating more employment. He added that it is a matter of immense pride for the Indian Power Sector achieved the coveted milestone of 100+ GW of installed renewable energy capacity. He further highlighted the government’s effort to promote solar manufacturing and mentioned the Government’s push for new technologies viz., Solar PV pumps, storage etc.
India’s big plans for Green Hydrogen and its export were also discussed. MoS also appreciated NSEFI and RSA for organizing this interactive session.
Rajasthan Energy Minister, Dr. B.D. Kalla, in his speech outlined the progress that Rajasthan has made over the past years. Dr Kalla also disclosed Rajasthan’s plans to install 30 GW of RE over the next 3 years and how more entrepreneurs & MSMEs, can help achieve this target. He talked about the MoUs state have signed with NTPC and SECI and discussed the need for tax holidays both from centre and state; and emphasized the need to focus on storage for energy transition.
NSEFI CEO Subrahmanyam Pulipaka, RSA President Sunil Bansal, NSEFI Executive Committee Member Sandeep Kashyap and RSA Governing council members Manoj Gupta, Ketan Mehta, and Ashu Gupta also spoke at the event while elaborating on Rajasthan’s progress in Solar and pledged full support to India’s ambitious RE targets.
