On the occasion of Earth Day, Tata Power’s EcoCrew programme initiated a week-long celebration across cities in UP. The celebration is aimed towards engaging over 5,000 students across 12 schools in Mathura, Prayagraj, and Varanasi through a series of sustainability-driven activities. With this year’s Earth Day theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” students reiterated their commitment to protecting the Earth and embracing sustainable practices. As part of its Club Enerji initiative, India’s largest energy literacy movement, the programme aimed to educate young minds on pressing environmental topics such as global warming, energy conservation, renewable energy, and solar power. With more than 430 schools impacted so far,

EcoCrew continued to build a strong foundation of environmental responsibility and action among students across the region.

A key highlight of the celebrations across Mathura, Prayagraj, and Varanasi is the Eco Pledge Ceremony, where school students reaffirmed their commitment to sustainable living through the engaging “Bano Nature ke BFF” activity. Adding a creative and emotional touch to the event, the vibrant “Globey Imprint Activity” saw students collaboratively craft a symbolic Earth on canvas using blue and green handprints – a heartfelt gesture pledging their dedication to protecting the planet and embracing eco-friendly habits.

The Earth Day celebrations is part of Tata Power’s larger objective through EcoCrew, to reach over 1,000 schools across 24 towns in the state. Through this extensive outreach programme, the company aims to educate more than five lakh students on critical subjects such as global warming, energy conservation, renewable energy, and solar power.

As the world comes together to observe Earth Day, the theme “Our Power, Our Planet” resonates deeply with Tata Power’s commitment to sustainability. Through its ‘Sustainable is Attainable’ movement and the Club Enerji platform, the company continues to play a key role in advancing India’s green energy transition while empowering communities to lead the way toward a more sustainable future.
