Torrent Power acquires 50 MW solar plant from Canadian developer SkyPower

The solar plant, located in Telangana, benefits from a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the State discom at a fixed tariff of approx. INR 5.35/kWh. It has a remaining useful life of approx. 20 years.

NTPC tenders 10 MW/40 MWh of battery energy storage project in Telangana

Domestic bids are invited to develop a 10 MW of grid-connected battery energy storage system (BESS) project at NTPC Ramagundam power station on a turnkey basis. The plant should have 40 MWh (10 MW x 4 hours) of storage capacity. Bidding closes on May 23.

State-owned coal miner The Singareni Collieries Company Limited has invited bids from project management consultants for its 250 MWp DC floating solar power plant in Telangana. The selection will be made through domestic competitive bidding followed by reverse auction.

Premier Energies raises INR 200 crore from GEF Capital

The Indian solar manufacturer currently has 750 MW of cell and module factory in Hyderabad and plans to more than triple this capacity with the addition of 2 GW mono PERC. The capacity augmentation is planned over the next two years with an investment of INR 1,200 crore. The equity capital from GEF will support the expansion.

Premier Energies starts production at solar factory

The Indian solar manufacturer has started trial production of high-efficiency solar cells at its new Telangana site. The fab can produce 19.2%-efficient multi-crystalline cells using MCCE textured black silicon, as well as making 22.5%-efficient mono PERC products.

Module cleaning system sought for NTPC’s 100 MW floating solar

The floating solar plant, being set upon the raw water reservoir area at Ramagundam Thermal Power Plant in Telangana, is divided into 40 discrete array blocks of 2.5MW (AC) each. The module cleaning system is to be designed for each 2.5 MW network.

Visaka forays into solar-powered EV charging business

Telangana-based Visaka Industries will set up electric vehicle (EV) charging stations powered by its ATUM integrated solar roof. According to the company, the ATUM solar roof, with PV panels integrated on cement boards, can generate 40% more clean power in the same given space than any other solar solution.
